How This Works

Hi, I'm Amanda. I'm an Australian-born, London-based registered nutritional therapist (BANT, CNHC), specialising in gut health.
I support people with IBS, bloating and reflux, constipation and diarrhoea, and stress-related gut issues that haven't fully responded to standard approaches, diets or protocols.
Rather than looking at your gut health in isolation, we explore how different systems in the body interact — including digestion, immune health, blood sugar, nutrient status, and nervous system regulation.
This is a highly personalised, whole-body approach combining nutrition, lifestyle support, and practitioner-led nervous system work to help you understand the deeper patterns beneath your symptoms.
Together, we create a structured but flexible path that feels clear, manageable, and deeply supportive — reducing stress and tension in the body while building the foundations for long-term gut health and resilience.
A Deeper Way To Understand Gut Health
The gut is closely connected to the rest of your body.
Often, symptoms persist not because someone is "doing it wrong", but because digestion is influenced by far more than food alone.
Stress, sleep, hormones, immune health, energy, lifestyle, and the overall demands placed on your system over time can all influence how reactive digestion becomes.
The foundation of my Mind Body Biome™ approach is understanding gut symptoms as part of a bigger picture.
The gut and nervous system are closely connected.
Many people notice symptoms worsen during periods of stress, anxiety, pressure, burnout, poor sleep, or emotional overwhelm.
Over time, digestive symptoms themselves can also place the body into a more protective and reactive state.
This can look like:
- • Increased food sensitivity
- • Unpredictable flare-ups
- • Feeling constantly on edge around food or symptoms
- • Symptoms continuing even when nutrition is "right"
- • A busy mind that never fully switches off
While nutrition remains foundational, digestion does not function separately from the rest of the body.
Part of this work involves helping reduce overall body load and supporting the nervous system alongside digestion, so changes feel more sustainable and easier for the body to tolerate.
Experience-informed care recognises that the body adapts to what it lives through.
For many people with long-standing digestive symptoms, there is often a history of chronic stress, burnout, pressure, overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from their body.
This can influence how the nervous system responds, how digestion functions, and how much capacity the body has available for healing.
This approach is not about overanalysing the past.
It is about creating a calmer, more supportive way of working with the body.
That includes:
- • Working at an appropriate pace
- • Reducing overwhelm
- • Supporting regulation and stability first
- • Creating realistic, sustainable changes
- • Helping symptoms make sense within a bigger picture
For some clients, this deeper layer of support becomes an important part of why symptoms finally begin to settle.

Ways to Work Together
Support is structured to match the level of complexity in your symptoms, your capacity, and what your body needs at this stage.

Direct 1:1 Support:
Minimum 5 Hours
Begins with weekly support to help stabilise symptoms and reduce overwhelm, before transitioning into ongoing fortnightly sessions across the programme. This includes 6 nutrition-focused follow-up sessions alongside 2 dedicated Compassionate Inquiry (CI) sessions to explore nervous system patterns, stress, and the deeper mind-body relationship influencing symptoms.
Includes a 30-minute review session at 6 months to reflect on progress and longer-term integration.

Quick Q & A
That's completely understandable.
Many people with long-standing gut symptoms feel exhausted after trying different diets, supplements, practitioners, or approaches without lasting change.
This work focuses on understanding what may be missing beneath your symptoms, rather than applying another generic solution.
As a registered Nutritional Therapist, I can also recommend advanced testing where appropriate to explore patterns that may not have been looked at in standard care.
Meaningful change often requires the right level of support, clarity, and consistency over time.
The discovery call is a relaxed conversation about what's been happening for you, your symptoms, challenges, and what you've already tried.
It's a space to begin understanding what may be driving your gut symptoms or keeping things from fully improving.
If helpful, I'll share some initial thoughts, explain how I work, and answer any questions you have.
There's no pressure, just an open conversation about what could help you move forward.
Not always.
We begin by understanding your symptoms, health history, and goals before deciding whether testing would be useful.
Functional testing can provide deeper insight into gut health and digestion when the picture still feels unclear, but it's never used unnecessarily.
The focus is always on what will genuinely support your progress.
A gut health nutritionist supports people with symptoms such as bloating, reflux, IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, or food sensitivities.
This work focuses on understanding what may be driving your digestive symptoms through personalised nutrition, lifestyle support, and functional testing where appropriate.
A personalised approach also considers factors such as stress, routines, nervous system patterns, and the gut-brain connection.
Support evolves over time as your body responds and symptoms begin to settle.
Many people receive general advice, medication, or restrictive diets, but still feel their symptoms are not fully resolving.
Working with a nutritionist allows for a more personalised and detailed approach.
Rather than focusing only on symptom management, we explore the wider picture behind your digestion and overall health.
This creates greater clarity around what may be driving your symptoms and what your body may genuinely need.
Some people do make progress on their own, particularly with supportive dietary and lifestyle changes.
But when symptoms are ongoing, inconsistent, or complex, it can become difficult to know what's actually helping.
Working with a practitioner provides structure, clarity, and ongoing support, rather than relying purely on trial and error.
The process adapts as your body changes, helping progress feel more manageable and sustainable over time.
Your GP plays an important role in diagnosis, investigations, and medical care.
Nutritional therapy offers a different layer of support, with more space to explore digestion, lifestyle, symptoms, stress patterns, and day-to-day factors that may be influencing your health.
The two approaches often work very well together.
Medical care provides oversight and safety, while nutritional therapy offers the depth and ongoing support needed for longer-term digestive improvement.
Not at all.
Most clients work with me online and find it easier to stay consistent that way.
The process remains highly personalised wherever you're based.
We explore your symptoms, health history, and patterns in detail, with ongoing support and adjustments provided throughout the process online.
